Configuration dumps

Configuration dumps are great for debugging issues remotely. Devices that support this feature can send a config dump in reply to a request from the server.

To request a configuration dump, go to Configuration, select the space with the device you're interested in, and click the "Devices" tab. Then select the device you want to query.

In the device's section, select the "Dumps" tab and click "Request dump." Once the device receives the request, it will report back with its config dump.

Note: Devices reach out to the server once every 5 minutes or less. Therefore, it can take up to 5 minutes for the device to provide its dump.

Once the server has received the configuration dump, you can review it by clicking the "Show" button.

Note: Sometimes it's useful to share a configuration dump with a support agent outside your organization. You can use the provided "shareable link" to securely share the dump with anyone.
